MaKE UP

Most women have yellow based skin. They include most Caucasian and all Asian, Latin and African women. To create a perfectly natural look, women with yellow undertones must select foundations with a yellow base. If you don't, you will end up looking as if you were wearing a mask.

The vast majority regardless of skin color, have yellow undertones, while most foundations on the market have a pink or orange base. Very often, brands that claim to be yellow-based are really orange-based, leaving the skin with a sallow look. The second major headache for makeup artists, is finding one line of foundation, that has shades for all skin colors After applying the right foundation for your skin tone and skin type, you now have the perfect canvas for makeup. Now you can really flaunt your creativity, using your eye, cheek and lip makeup colors to:
  1. Understand that a “natural” look is one that uses colors that are right for your skin tone. How much you use, and where, depends on your personal style.
  2. Make sure your concealer is yellow in tone since it mutes imperfections without adding color, giving your skin a natural look.
  3. Apply foundation that matches your skin tone. The right foundation will seem to disappear on your face. If you are African-American, it’s a good idea to have light, medium and dark shades of your foundation to allow for different gradations of color on different parts of your face.
  4. Apply eye makeup in earthy tones—beige, brown, gold or plum for shadows and brown and charcoal gray for liner and mascara. Skip liner or shadow entirely if you want to keep makeup light.
  5. Choose a blush color that is close to the color of your cheeks after you’ve exercised.
Mastering the art of makeup has never been so easy. At last you can get the makeup looks you want whether you are aiming for dramatic forties glitz, a swinging sixties monochrome effect, pretty pastels, or a natural look.
